While doing some additional research on the “Oriflamme” as promised, I ran across a fascinating site.

I have not gotten all the way through it, but it has extensive links on the Middle Ages. In addition, there is some home-grown content on history and military hardware. It has not been updated in a couple of years, but neither has the 10th century, so no worries about outdated content.

It is worth a look.
