How Should I Sell My Comic Book Collection?

I need some help and I am hoping that my readership might offer some helpful advice.

I have about 300 comic books, in near-mint condition from my childhood (about 20 years old.) They are carefully stored with acid-free backboards in plastic bags.  For many years, I kept them in my garage with the intent of doing something with them…someday.  Well, that day has come. I am tired of moving them every time I change addresses and I have not even really looked at them, other than to make sure bugs are not eating them in 10 years. Age has robbed me of my sentimentality. Now, they are just an untapped asset.

I want to sell the entire lot and plow the proceeds into my website.  So, I am soliciting opinions about what is the best way to liquidate them.  I came up with the following ideas.

1. Sell to a comic book store

2. Ebay, or some other site

3. Craigslist or other in-person sale.

I ran an Ebay business for years, so I am very comfortable with that method (800+ feedback.) Sadly, Ebay also entails the most work. I hate shipping packages! Comic book stores are fast, but they are very unlikely to give me a decent price.  Craigslist is a major hassle, as you have to deal with people in person.

I do not like any of these options very much, (but I am leaning towards Ebay right now.)

Please, help a poor blogger out. Is there any method other than these? Is there a clearing house for selling collections?

Any help is appreciated.
