Movies and Gaming: The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

I will make this simple. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is a MUST SEE for all Fantasy gamers. This will explain why, though it is not a full review. I know most people have not seen it and I don’t want to spoil anything. That said, It has some light spoilers as far as some of the things you see in the movie, but I will not ruin any plot information. So tread through as you see fit.

Yes, I know the Cronicles of Narnia are children’s stories (Aka Reepicheep)…

Yes, I know they contain religious undertones that makes some pass them off (Aka Aslan)…

However, story, plot, and characters aside (which I thought were all actually quite good), the imagery and characters you can visualize will help bring life to your D&D experience.

Here are some of the things that got me giddy….

A great battle against a Usurper King

Charging Centaurs

Raging Minotaurs

A Gargantuan Water Elemental

Pissed off Fey Creatures

Talking Badgers

Treants

And finally, Griffons carrying Dwarven archers into battle! Woo-Hoo!

All this and much more. I try to suppose any Fantasy movie out there to tell Hollywood that I want more! Some day we will have a fantastical Forgotten Realms movie!!! Someday…
