Help Me Pick Events for Gen Con 2009
For the first time ever, I do not have a full plate of events before a convention. Due to a combination of laziness and real life, the only event tickets I currently own for Gen Con 2009 are for True Dungeon. This is not necessarily a bad thing, since I am on the hunt for something new and exciting. So, I plea to you my gentle readers for suggestions. I play everything from board game to RPGs and everything in between. All suggestions are welcome, but please nothing that involves 4th Edition D&D. I already play that for my home game, so I am making a point to play other games.

Several of us RPG Bloggers are having a 2009 GM’s Jam, sort of a give-and-take meetup and advice session. It’s from 1-2:30 on Saturday, and best of all, it’s free (no ticket needed, though it looks like a few folks have reserved it anyway)! You’d be a welcome addition!

Don’t forget the ENnie awards – it is usually a great opportunity to meet a bunch of other gamers in a social setting, hobnob with the publishers and authors, and relax a bit while celebrating excellence in gaming.
Of course, I missed them last year because I was involved in an improptu round-robin B/X D&D tournament at the time, but I try to make it every year.
I would suggest You to visit Wyrd Miniatures booth at GenCon. They are releasing their skirmish game “Malifaux”. Of course, it’s miniature game, but I think You’ll find it interesting. It uses card deck instead of dice. And universe is great too. Kind of spaghetti horror steampunk fantasy western :D.
P.S. By the way, Your website is great.
